Delivering exceptional outcomes for people living with serious injury has always been at the heart of what we do. In 2018, our founder and Director, Liz Brownlee, was named ‘Outstanding Individual’ in the Care & Services (Specialist Care) category at icare NSW’s Care & Service Excellence (CASE) Awards đź’ś — an industry award recognising individuals and teams who go above and beyond to improve outcomes for injured workers and businesses across NSW.
The awards recognise individuals and organisations who demonstrate excellence in supporting people recovering from workplace and motor accident injuries, celebrating innovation, collaboration and a commitment to achieving meaningful outcomes for clients.
The Outstanding Individual Award aims to acknowledge an individual who exceeds in their role to deliver excellence in care and service, positively impacting both customer outcomes and the industry as a whole.

Recognition for Client-Centred Occupational Therapy
Liz received the award in recognition of her dedication to delivering high-quality occupational therapy services and working collaboratively with clients, families, insurers and rehabilitation teams to achieve the best possible outcomes.
While the award was presented in 2018, the values it recognised continue to shape Wise OT Solutions today.
Our team remains committed to:
- Providing evidence-based, client-centred occupational therapy.
- Working collaboratively with insurers, case managers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Supporting people with complex injuries to maximise independence and participation.
- Continuing to invest in professional development and clinical excellence.
Recognition as a reflection of standards, not a finish line
This same commitment to excellence is what’s carried Wise OT Solutions through 15 years of severe injury rehabilitation work — supporting people recovering from brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and burns through CTP, workers compensation, and icare-funded schemes across NSW.
Today, that translates into:
- A team with decades of occupational therapy experience.
- Long-standing panel approval and trusted relationships with major insurers, including QBE, Allianz, GIO, and EML.
- AHPRA-registered, icare-approved Case Managers across our team.
- A continued focus on the same thing that earned that 2018 recognition: getting genuinely good outcomes for the people we work with, and making life easier for the case managers and insurers who refer to us.
Whether it’s an industry award, a 15-year milestone, or simply a case manager telling us we made a complex claim easier to manage, recognition matters to us because it means the work is landing the way we intend it to.

Building on That Foundation
Since receiving this recognition, Wise OT Solutions has continued to grow, expanding our team and increasing our reach across New South Wales while maintaining the same commitment to quality care.
Although much has changed since 2018, our purpose remains the same: helping people achieve their goals and live as independently as possible. We are incredibly proud of Liz’s achievement and grateful to everyone—our clients, referral partners and colleagues—who has been part of the Wise OT Solutions journey.
